BANDOU TAROU - GO SAGINUMA KENSHABORN/NATO 05/07/2004
Quando, con l'amico Andrea, siamo saliti sull'aereo che ci avrebbe portato in Giappone, avevamo in mente un solo pensiero: portare in Italia BANDOU TAROU, l'akita più conosciuto in Giappone, la cui fama si stava diffondendo in tutto il mondo, in quanto preso come modello dal JKC per definire nei minimi dettagli lo standard dell'Akita Giapponese. Ospiti di Mr. K. Shirai, durante la nostra permanenza abbiamo ricevuto attenzioni e riguardi quali si riservano ad amici di vecchia data. L'emozione più forte ci è stata riservata la sera del nostro arrivo, quando nella stanza dove ci trovavamo è comparso Mr. Shirai con a guinzaglio BANDOU TAROU. L'Akita che ci stava di fronte superava di gran lunga l'immagine che avevamo ricavato dalle foto in nostro possesso. Testa larga, occhi leggermente chiusi con la giusta inclinazione, torace ampio, posteriore perfettamente angolato, pelo abbondante di un rosso intenso ed una coda molto importante che disegnava un ellisse perfetta. Quello che colpiva ancora di più era la fierezza e la sicurezza che trasmetteva l'animale sia da fermo che nei suoi movimenti perfettamente bilanciati e di una compostezza unica, il quadro era completato dal sorriso appena accennato di Mr. Shirai, orgoglioso per quanto ci stava facendo vedere. Nei giorni successivi il nostro ospite ci ha portato a visitare alcuni allevamenti presentandoci diversi cuccioli e cani molto importanti, plurivincitori nelle più importanti rassegne giapponesi, inconsciamente però, il confronto veniva sempre fatto rispetto a BANDOU TAROU ed inevitabilmente si concludeva a favore di quest'ultimo. La nostra testardaggine ci ha quindi condotto alla definizione della trattativa per l'acquisto di BANDOU, Mr. Shirai, da leale e corretto giapponese, per non venire meno ad una larvata promessa fattaci in Italia prima di partire, pur a malincuore ci ha consentito di portarlo con noi quando fossimo rientrati. Successivamente ospiti dei più importanti dirigenti del JKC, nello studio di Mr. Takemi Nagamura, mega presidente di tutti i Kennel Club dell'Asia, nel comunicare il nostro acquisto ci siamo accorti dello scombussolamento e dell'evidente incredulità provocata da tale notizia. Diverse telefonate effettuate immediatamente per cercare la smentita hanno invece provocato uno sconforto ancora maggiore con i nostri ospiti a confessare che tutto ciò rappresentava una perdita enorme per tutto il mondo giapponese dell'Akita. L'unico rammarico di un viaggio così interessante ed istruttivo, è venuto dall'ultimo giorno della nostra permanenza. Infatti Mr.Shirai ci ha confidato di aver passato l'intero pomeriggio a parlare col suo cane, chiedendogli di perdonarlo di averlo ceduto ad altri e confessandoci con voce rotta dall'emozione che quello era il cane che aspettava da una vita, magnifico stallone portatore dell'antica fierezza dell'Akita, e che di esemplari così ne esce uno su un milione. Di fronte all'emozione così forte di questo uomo considerato da tutti uno dei più esperti allevatori di questa razza ci siamo sentiti un po' colpevoli per quella separazione e, abbracciandolo forte, gli abbiamo promesso che BANDOU TAROU, per noi e per quanti lo apprezzeranno, resterà sempre il cane di SHIRAI SAN. Fin dalle prime mostre canine, l'ammirazione di giudici ed esperti della razza hanno contribuito a confermare sempre più la nostra convinzione di avere portato in Italia un Akita veramente eccezionale. Forti di ciò ci impegneremo affinché questo fantastico animale possa veramente contribuire al miglioramento della razza sia in Italia che in Europa.

Our determination therefore has lead to the definition of the negotiation for the purchase of BANDOU, Mr. Shirai, from loyal and corrected Japanese, in order not to come to one promise made us in Italy before leaving, also with deep displeasure has concurred us to carry it with us when we were re-enters. Subsequently hosts of the more managing important of the JKC, in the study of Mr. Takemi Nagamura, mega president of all the Kennel Club of Asia, in communicating our purchase there are shrewed from such news.
